FAIR PLAY AND NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY

GOOD GAME EZ INC. (“GGEZ”)

GGEZ has the idea of being built by gamers for gamers. It is therefore a key priority that our players have a safe and fair environment to do what they love….playing games.
To ensure that our Players enjoy a fun, safe, and fair playing environment, we have introduced this Fair Play and Non-Discrimination policy. This policy offers guidelines as to what is considered fair and unfair play, and the penalties if a Player violates these guidelines.
It is at GGEZ’s discretion to act in respect of any matters that are listed here.
This Fair Play and Non-Discrimination Policy supplements GGEZ’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

GGEZ PLATFORM CODE OF CONDUCT

The GGEZ platform is for everyone, regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, color, immigration status, social and economic class, educational level, size, family status, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability or any other attribute that people use to label others or divide communities. GGEZ requires that its Team members, Players, and Partners conduct themselves appropriately and treat one another with respect and kindness. How Players, Team members and GGEZ affiliates and partners communicate with one another is very important to us. Abusive behaviour will NOT be tolerated EVER.

In order to keep GGEZ a place to play for everyone, it is important for all our users to respect the rights of others and refrain from misuse of the GGEZ platform. Accordingly, when you create an Account, you agree that you will follow the rules set forth below:

  • Do not organize hate groups or use or promote hate speech.
  • Do not threaten, harm, bully, harass, troll, or stalk anyone, or encourage anyone to do so.
  • Do not create, upload, stream, or share any images, audio or other content or communication that is racist or offensive to any ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, nationality, or religion, or that disparages anyone based on their mental or physical ability, appearance, or other personal trait.
  • Do not create, upload, stream, or share messages, images, audio, or other content or communication that is lewd or contains graphic sexual content or abhorrent violent material.
  • Do not engage in, threaten, or promote illegal activity, terrorism, or acts of violence or self-harm.
  • Do not defame or spread lies about anyone, or create, alter, upload, stream, or share images or audio of another person without their consent.
  • Do not reveal personal information (such as phone numbers, email addresses, IP or MAC addresses, or real-world addresses) about yourself or another person.
  • Do not manipulate or inflate usage of the GGEZ platform to disrupt the normal flow of chat or gameplay.
  • Do not share, buy, sell, rent, sub-license, trade, transfer, phish for or harvest any accounts, account details, or other account credentials.
  • Do not cheat, or use any bugs, glitches, vulnerabilities or unintentional mechanics in Content or the GGEZ platform to get an advantage or to gain unauthorized access to Content.
  • Do not upload, post, stream, or transmit any content that contains any viruses, worms, spyware, time bombs, or other computer programs that may damage, interfere with, or disrupt the GGEZ platform.
  • Do not use, make, or distribute unauthorized software or hardware, including non-licensed peripherals and cheat code software or devices that circumvent any security features or limitations included on any software or devices or take or use any data from the GGEZ platform to design, develop or update unauthorized software or hardware.
  • Do not make available any cheats, technological measures, or other methods designed to enable or encourage any collection, selling, or trading of GGEZ Content, including any virtual currency, goods, or effects such as coins, points, tokens, gold, gems, weapons, vehicles, buffs, power-ups, trophies, rewards, or badges (“Virtual Items”). Do not create or participate in any exploitation of price differences of Virtual Items by any means (for example, between real money currency prices).
  • Do not attempt to hack or reverse engineer any code or equipment used on or in connection with the GGEZ platform, or attempt to modify the online web app, server, client-server communication, or other parts of any game title, or content.
  • Do not cause disruption to or modify or damage any Account, system, hardware, software, or network connected to or provided by GGEZ for any reason, including for the purpose of gaining an unfair advantage in a game.
  • Do not send SPAM, or upload or share content that is commercial in nature, such as advertisements, solicitations, promotions, and links to web sites.
  • Do not upload or share content that could be harmful to GGEZ or its affiliates or their licensors, or players, such as any code or virus that may damage, alter or change any property or interfere with the use of property by the GGEZ platform.
  • Do not engage in, promote, or facilitate activity that infringes the rights of any third party, or violates any law or regulation, or contractual or fiduciary obligations.
  • Do not steal anyone’s identity, impersonate anyone, or engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading practices.
  • Do not create an account that violates this Code of Conduct.
  • Do not submit false grief reports or otherwise abuse the grief reporting system.
  • Do not be rude to, or abuse or threaten, our employees, agents or representatives. If you do, in addition to any other actions we may take under this Agreement, we may restrict you to contacting us by email or refuse to provide you with any further consumer support.

Violations of our Code of Conduct may result in moderation action taken against your Account. We may also notify law enforcement (or another appropriate government agency) if the breach involves a threat to the life or safety of yourself or others, or any other activity that we believe to be unlawful.

We are not responsible for monitoring or recording any activity or communications on the GGEZ platform, although we may do so to investigate violations of or enforce this Agreement, or to protect the rights and property of GGEZ, its partners, and customers. If you encounter instances of such behaviour, please report it to us by submitting a support ticket by emailing us at support@goodgameez.com.

CHEATING, BOOSTING & EXPLOITING

GGEZ does not tolerate cheating or dishonesty. The offenses listed below will be addressed very seriously.

BOOSTING

Boosting on GGEZ is defined as the following:

  • Playing the same user back-to-back 3 times or more in a match or tournament with the intention to feed them wins or points in a tournament.
  • Intentionally throwing matches for your opponent.
  • Intentionally not playing, joining or avoiding matches.
  • Creating alias accounts to only play with yourself to boost your wins.

FALSIFYING RESULTS

  • GGEZ takes falsifying results extremely seriously and such conduct could lead to a permanent Player ban.
  • We will find you – we will punish you. GGEZ sees ALL.

BUG/GLITCH ABUSE

  • Finding a Bug/glitch while in-game or in-app does not constitute a breach of our Fair Play policy. However, sharing, promoting or abusing the bug/glitch and failing to report the issue will constitute a breach of the Fair Play policy.
  • Please report all bugs/glitches found to support@goodgameez.com.

STREAM SNIPING

  • During GGEZ match play, you are not allowed to receive information of any kind related to your opponent’s movements or situation outside of the game environment itself.

BAN EVASION & ACCOUNT SHARING

  • You may only have one Account. If it is discovered that You have registered multiple Accounts, are sharing Accounts with another individual, or are otherwise accessing the GGEZ platform through an account that is not Your own, all Accounts affected by such use shall be suspended or terminated, and any Prize associated with that Account may be forfeited to GGEZ.

GUIDELINES FOR ENTERING A CHALLENGE

To successfully participate in a Match, other than what has already been mentioned in the terms and conditions, Players must ensure that they have followed each step correctly:

Create and or join a match, find an opponent/s, ready up play the match, after the match is completed, the results will automatically be show on screen with your win or loss if the match has met the requirement of the challenge set when the game was created.

Challenge results should be instant. If there is a dispute, please contact GGEZ support staff who will then address the disputes in a timely fashion and users will be notified as soon as the challenge outcome is determined.

CONSEQUENCES OF MISCONDUCT OR FAIR PLAY POLICY BREACH

The first breach of the Fair Play policy will result in a warning. Repeat offenses will result in a suspensions and bans. If regular breaches are made within a 12-month period, it will lead to a permanent ban. All cases are evaluated on an individual basis.

At maximum Players will receive 3 penalties before a permanent ban. The worse offenses carry a minimum ban length. e.g., Falsifying results will immediately come with a 1 month ban and put the user on final probation.

  • 1st punishment: Warning – Lasts 3 months on record
  • 2nd punishment: 1 Day platform ban – Lasts 3 months on record
  • 3rd punishment: 1 Week platform ban – Lasts 1 year on record
  • 4th punishment: 1 Month platform ban – Lasts 1 year on record
  • 5th punishment: Permanent ban

How to report suspected violations of the rules?

Our games are meant to be fun, fair, and safe for everyone to play. If you witness behaviour which is in violation of our Fair Play policy, please report the incident to our support team with a clear description of the incident – we will undertake a thorough review of the issue and take the necessary actions. Please report any suspected violations by send us an email: support@goodgameez.com.

If you break the rules

We have our rules in place because we want GGEZ to be a fair, fun, secure experience.

A proper investigation will be conducted to investigate and evaluate the magnitude of the violation(s). Penalties are ultimately at the discretion of GGEZ.

Can I have more than one GGEZ account?

Players may only have one GGEZ account active at any given time and any Player found to have more than one is breaking GGEZ’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy and will receive a permanent ban on their account.

If you want to create a new account, you must first contact us to deactivate your active account before creating a new one.

If you don’t remember your login information, please don’t make a new account. Select the “Forgot Password” option and reset your password. If for some reason you are unable to do this, contact us: support@goodgameez.com and we will be able to help you with recovering your account.

GGEZ’S POLICY AGAINST HATE SPEECH

GGEZ encourages both inclusivity and individuality on our platform, both in-game and online. The GGEZ platform should be a community for players of all backgrounds to share fun gaming experiences. Players can express themselves and their views with one another but hate speech and hateful conduct will not be tolerated. When you create an account, you agree to abide by the Community Code of Conduct which outlines how players should interact on our platform. Players can help ensure our community stays welcoming and inclusive by behaving appropriately and reporting misconduct to the GGEZ support team.

There are no exceptions for using hateful language or slurs in any form on the GGEZ platform, even if the context is light-hearted, non-serious, or used as reappropriation. While players may think it’s appropriate to use profanity among friends or jokingly insult each other, there are consequences to posting offensive content or using offensive language on the GGEZ platform. The GGEZ Code of Conduct applies whether the hate speech is directed toward a specific player or audience.

WHAT IS HATE SPEECH?

Hate speech is a form of abuse defined as prejudice, hostility, or violence targeting a person or group of people, based on protected characteristics such as but not limited to: race, ethnicity, national origin, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, age, religion, and disability, familial, or veteran status.

Hate speech on the GGEZ platform can take the form of threatening messages either textual or verbal, as well as discriminatory text, images or videos.

EXAMPLES OF HATE SPEECH

Using slurs, whether racial, ethnic, sexist, homophobic or ableist to address or insult other players.

  • Targeting anyone for their gender identity or expression.
  • Targeting or degrading women with misogynist language.
  • Insulting or calling names based on real-life and/or perceived mental, cognitive, or physical ability.
  • Promoting hate groups and their ideologies by posting hate symbols/imagery.
  • Sharing memes that negatively stereotype a person or group’s protected characteristics.
  • Glorifying or condoning violence, brutality, or death toward a person or group.
  • Using a person’s personal characteristics to degrade them or negatively describe their gameplay.

HOW TO REPORT SOMEONE FOR HATE SPEECH?

We rely on members of our community to help keep the platform safe from all varieties of player misconduct, including hate speech. If you encounter content or behaviour that you believe breaches our Code of Conduct, you can report it to the GGEZ support team at support@goodgameez.com for the moderation team to review for potential enforcement action.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM REPORTED FOR HATE SPEECH?

GGEZ will take action against any form of reported content that we verify as hate speech. If your offense is determined to be hate speech, your account will be suspended from the GGEZ platform.

FINAL NOTE

Not being aware of the rules is not a valid excuse for breaking them. Help us make our games, as well as our community platforms, a fair and welcoming space. Respect our Terms and Conditions and Fair Play Policy and encourage others to do the same.
